How To Successfully Complete A Retirement Roll Over   by Jason Pollington, P&G Financial Group, San Diego Life Insurance Agency, 401k Roll Over, IRA Roll Overs, San Diego Retirement Planning, Jason Pollington, Jerry Gertes

Unless you found your perfect job the day you walked out of college, chances are you will have more than one job in your lifetime. With current jobless rates going through the ceiling, there’s a good chance you’ll have several jobs in the course of your life. When you leave one job and go to the other, you may have a retirement roll over to deal with.

When you leave a job, you have no choice but to take your funds from your retirement account. You can’t keep them with a company you don’t belong to. Knowing this, it’s a bit unfair that you get penalized by the government for taking the funds out. You will be charged a 20% fee plus usual taxes for taking your Retirement Funds.

This applies when the check is made out to you. However, there is a way to get around the 20% with holding. If you roll your retirement account over to a qualified retirement account, you will avoid paying the 20% penalty. You must be careful how you approach the entire situation, however. Before you tell your former company that you are going to roll the funds over, you need to select the bank or entity that you’ll be rolling your funds over to.

The check for your rollover funds must be in the name of the new investment company or entity trustee. You need to make sure that you find out from the company exactly how the name should appear. Then you can contact your current Retirement Fund account holder and tell them how to make the check out. They will send the check to you, and you must then get it to your new qualifed retirement account holder. You only have 60 days to complete this transaction. If you do not complete the transaction within the specified 60 days, you will suffer the penalties.

Another benefit of rolling over your retirement fund is that the Retirement Savings maintain deferred tax status. You will not be charged early withdrawal fees or penalties and you won’t have to pay the taxes on this sum, either. This is a huge benefit if you’re trying to establish a decent retirement fund for yourself.

When you roll over your retirement fund to another qualified retirement account, you never have to worry about transferring your retirement savings again. Once you have established this, no matter how many times you change employers, you will never have to move your money again. This is also very beneficial because all of your Retirement Money will be rolled up into one place.

42 Rules For Saving Your House From Foreclosure

42 Rules For Saving Your House From Foreclosure

$20.62

This book is for anyone who is in a bad mortgage situation. You have an adjustable loan; your monthly payment has now skyrocketed to an amount you can’t afford on a monthly basis. That is the situation I found myself in. After four applications to my bank for a loan modification, I decided I needed to get professional help. Craig Triance is my lawyer and co-author in this biographical “how to” book about my process to save my home. We captured the critical things I learned along the way, so you can avoid making common mistakes. The rules are legally accurate, but may include strategies that the banks don’t want you to know. We want you to be able to save your house also, and the rules in this book give you a complete guide to doing just that. The book is divided into three different sections of rules, based on where in the process you are. Section 1: How did you get into this mess? The rules in this section examine who will call you and who will not, who to look out for and what to do with your credit cards, retirement account and home equity loan.Section 2: Rules to help you dig your way out! The rules in this section focus on getting out of denial about your current financial situation, being willing to talk about it, getting help, finding partners and behaviors that will help you look better (more credible for a loan modification) with a bank mortgage negotiator.Section 3: Options, Solutions and Resolution. This section of rules assumes you are already dealing with the bank (and it is not going so well), and looks at some of your options including: loan modification, short sales, partnerships and investors, lease backs, even bankruptcy.Based on David’s experience and Craig’s legal know how, this down-to-earth, easily read book provides practical knowledge and legal best practices coupled with the horror story David has lived through for over a year. This book emphasizes personal responsibility and also how to be prepared with

Drawing on an array of archival material, this study sheds light on Sir George Russell Clerk, an important, yet forgotten figure in British and European diplomatic history.During the First World War, Clerk was a senior Foreign Office official strongly sympathetic to the cause of the ‘oppressed nationalities’ of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. This biographical study focuses on the most significant part of Clerk’s career, his role as a nation-builder in post-war Europe until his eventual downfall at the hands of Antony Eden, and retirement in 1937. A Mind That Found Itself: An Autobiography (Dodo Press)

$13.69

Clifford Whittingham Beers (1876 – 1943) was the founder of the American mental hygiene movement. He was born in New Haven, Connecticut and graduated from the Sheffield Scientific School at Yale in 1897. After the publication of A Mind that Found Itself: An Autobiography (1908), an account of his confinement in a mental institution for depression and paranoia, he had the support of the medical profession and others in the work to prevent mental disorders. He started the Clifford Beers Clinic in New Haven in 1913. It was the first outpatient mental health clinic in the United States. Beers was one of the biggest supporters of the Eugenics movement in America, which was also flourishing in Germany during the early part of the Twentieth Century. He was a leader in the field until his retirement in 1939.

A Spectacle of Suffering: Clara Morris on the American Stage

A Spectacle of Suffering: Clara Morris on the American Stage

$13.96

Once called “America’s greatest actress,” renowned for the passion and power of her performances, Clara Morris (1847-1925) has been largely forgotten. A Spectacle of Suffering: Clara Morris on the American Stage is the first full-length study of the actress’s importance as a feminist in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Detailing her daunting health problems and the changing tastes in entertainment that led to her retirement from the stage, Barbara Wallace Grossman explores Morris’s dramatic reinvention as an author. During a second robust career, she published hundreds of newspaper and magazine articles and nine books—six works of fiction and three memoirs.Grossman draws on the fifty-four-volume diary that Morris kept from 1868 until 1924, as well as on the manuscript fragments and notes of journalist George T. MacAdam, who died in 1929 before completing the actress’s biography. Grossman provides a dramatic account of Morris’s life and work from her troubled early years, through an unhappy marriage, morphine addiction, and invalidism, to the challenges of touring, the decline of her artistic reputation, and the demands of the writing career she pursued so tenaciously. A Spectacle of Suffering reveals how Morris, even after experiencing blindness and the loss of her home, livelihood, and family, did not succumb to despair and found comfort in the small pleasures of her circumscribed life.A Spectacle of Suffering recovers an important figure in American theatre and ensures that Morris will be remembered not simply as an actress but as a respected writer and beloved public figure, admired for her courage in dealing with adversity. The book, which is enhanced by twenty-four illustrations, is the only published biography of Clara Morris. It is as much a tribute to the power of the human spirit as it is an effective means of exploring American theatre and society in the Gilded Age. <

A Youth in the Meuse-Argonne

$39.95

From the Publisher A Youth in the Meuse-Argonne is a firsthand account of World War I through the eyes of an enlisted soldier. William S. Triplet was a seventeen-year-old junior in high school when, on April 2, 1917, President Woodrow Wilson asked for a declaration of war. This declaration stirred the superintendent of schools in Triplet’s hometown of Sedalia, Missouri, to make an emotional plea to all eligible students to join the army. Any student who felt called upon to fight, bleed, and die for his country could receive his graduation diploma upon his return from the war . Triplet was eighteen months short of being of legal enlistment age, but the Army didn’t check birth certificates. The appeal of the army’s benefits — room and board, travel, adventure, and fifteen dollars a month, plus knowing he would receive his high school diploma — was too much for the young Triplet to pass up. thus began William S. Triplet’s remarkable career in the U.S. Army, in which he served until his retirement as a brigadier general in 1954. In A Youth in the Meuse-Argonne, Triplet covers the early years of his service in Company D, 140th Regiment of the 35th Division, from the time of his enlistment in 1917 to his honorable discharge in 1919. During those years, Triplet participated in two major campaigns, the Mont-Saint-Michel and the Meuse-Argonne. With both elegance and a touch of humor, Triplet masterfully portrays the everyday life of the soldier, humanizing the men with whom he served. His vivid depictions of the horrendous battles in which the soldiers fought give the reader a much clearer view of the terrifying experiences of combat. In writing this memoir, Triplet relied heavily on a detailed diary that hekept while he was in Alsace in 1918. Through his annotations, Robert H. Ferrel provides the historical context for Triplet’s firsthand experiences. The result is a compelling memoir that provides vast insight into the lives of the soldiers who served dur
